The Museums of the Diocese of Peoria and the Cathedral of St. Mary provide full service day trips for your school or parish group.  You can spend an hour or the whole day enjoying the various museum displays that tell the story of Venerable Fulton Sheen and our diocesan history.

Through December 2018, the museum celebrates 10 years of bringing our local story to life by sharing the “Secrets from the Archives” - a treasury of hidden gems of facts and figures.

Just a short walk down the street and your group can enjoy a guided tour of our beautifully restored Cathedral, with a guide or self-guided.  Venerate the most precious Relics of the Passion in the Relic Chapel.  Listen to the beauty of the historic organ or savor the sacred silence. Count the stars on the ceiling.  Make as many photo memories as you wish.

To help make your pilgrimage complete, Mass can be offered in any of the six chapels in the Cathedral and Spalding Center campus.  Adore the Holy Face of the Shroud of Turin in the Crypt Chapel of the Holy Sepulcher.

Let us make arrangements for your lunch.  Enjoy either a simple boxed lunch or a hot buffet and watch our film Archbishop Fulton Sheen - Servant of All and learn the origin of his Easter joy.

While in the Heart of Peoria, consider a stop at St. Joseph’s Church—the oldest Catholic Church in the city of Peoria or Sacred Heart Church—a veritable jewel box located next to the twin towers.

All of this is just minutes from the Riverfront Museum and Warehouse District shopping and dinning.

Call soon to arrange your plans!  Tours are usually scheduled on weekdays, anytime from 9am-4pm.  For evening and weekends and for more details about options available, contact Sister Lea Stefancova, FSJB at: 309/671-1550 or
