Welcome to the Museums of the Diocese of Peoria

WELCOME TO THE MUSEUMS!

The Catholic Diocese of Peoria is proud to host two museums: The Diocesan Museum and the Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Museum. Both are located in the Spalding Pastoral Center located just north of Downtown Peoria, Illinois.

The Diocesan Museum features yearly exhibits that vividly portray many aspects from the history of the Diocese since its establishment in 1875.

The Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Museum features several 'stations' - collections that illustrate the story of  Archbishop Sheen's life, work, and the cause for canonization.

The museums are open Monday-Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. If you wish to book a tour, please check the 'Contact us' page for list of days we are closed for holidays.  Our museums are free and operate on your generosity only.  To help with carrying out the mission and for the general museum upkeep, please click: DONATE
